Silent Hill 5 - The Room : Odd Visitors
Henry blinked once. Twice. Three times.
The figure at the door wouldn't go away. It was fairly slim, with shoulder-length dirty blonde hair framing a rather attractive face. Mental slap one. Not attractive. Yeah. That's it. It was leaning on the doorframe at the entrance to the living room, a cocky smile playing on its lips. He mentally slapped himself again. "Instead of examining your possible future death-source, you could start looking for an exit." "Be quiet. I'm trying to think." "Suuure..." Another mental slap. He looked at Walter blankly. "Hi." "Hello, Receiver." The taller man didn't seem to have a weapon. Still, not a good idea relaxing when he's around. Walter walked in casually and sat down beside Henry. The blonde rummaged around in his jacket pocket, then dangled something in front of Henry's face. It was a necklace. Plain, probably silver though, with a small round sapphire stuck inside. "For you." Walter placed it on the other man's lap. Henry had no clue as to why the psychopath would choose to bring him gifts, unless it was the same as that stupid doll. Henry looked down, toying with the chain. "It's New Year. I thought it would match your eyes," he replied with a hint of pride. What the hell. This was one of the man's weird habits (abilities?). He could be a sadistic bastard one minute, and childishly stupid the next.
New Year? He took a glance at the window. It was, indeed, snowing. "Oh. Thanks," he replied quietly without a second thought, still a little vacantly. Last New Year he had spent alone (just like all the other ones after he moved out from his mother's house), and gotten drunk. The next day, his superintendent called and calmly told him he would need to move out. He shook the thoughts out of his head and thought about more important matters. "I'm tired," Walter said matter-of-factly, "Do you have anything to eat?" Henry got up, slightly dazed, and walked clumsily to the kitchen. He opened the door of the fridge and quickly turned away at the sight and stench of another dead cat wrapped in a dress shirt stuffed unceremoniously into a corner. Shakily taking in some air and calming himself down, he turned his head back slowly. Trying his best to ignore the cat, he managed to find a bottle of wine and another of chocolate milk. Taking hold of both, Henry closed the door with his foot and carefully picked up two glasses off of the table. He walked back into the living room and held the bottle of milk, perplexed, towards Walter. "For you," It was the first and only thing he could muster up. The other man seemed happy enough as he accepted the drink and nodded. "No food though," Henry tried talking as calmly as he could. He still had to remember that he was in extremely close proximity of an insane maniac that gruesomely butchered 19 people, then ripped out their hearts and stabbed himself to death with a damn spoon. So he could as well put a couple of bullets to Henry's head for not having food around. Thankfully all he did was crinkle up his nose and sigh. "Oh well." Handing him a glass, he sat back down a little nervously and pulled the cork from the wine. "Riverstone Chardonnay, 2004. White wine." Walter nodded appreciatively. Henry nodded back. "To you." "To you as well, little Receiver."
